RED GLORIA - ANDES

A regional long-term monitoring platform

The GLORIA-Andes network is a regional long-term monitoring platform that studies the impacts of climate change on the biodiversity of high mountain ecosystems in the Andes. The GLORIA-Andes network is a consolidated and collaborative South-South cooperation initiative of Andean research centers and institutions that has been working for more than 10 years along the Andes from Venezuela to Chile and Argentina. This network generates and provides information based on quantifiable and standardized data on the vegetation of the high mountain summits in order to evaluate the impacts of climate change along the Andes.
