RESERVA ECOLÓGICA EL ÁNGEL (EC-ANG)
Description
The protected area has a surface of 15,715 hectares with an altitudinal range that goes from 3644 to 4768 meters above sea level, presenting vegetation of giant rosettes (frailejones), herbaceous paramo, dry paramo and gelidophyte. The main threat to the protected area is burning, if not controlled.
The installation of the site began in December 2007 and ended in April 2008.
Location
The site is located within the Reserva Ecológica El Angel, in the province of Carchi, approximately at 0.729 LN and -77.924 LO.

Cerro Crespo (CCE, 4059 masl), Cerro Pelado (CPE, 4166 masl), Chaquitaloma (CHE, 4104 masl), Cerro Negro (CNE, 4263 masl).
